Marie-José Pérec
Marie-José Pérec of France, won the 200m and defended her 400m title in the Atlanta Olympics. She has won a total of three gold medals in her running career, and two of which are coming from the 1996 Olympics. She became the first athlete to win the 400m twice, and she is now the most successful French female athlete of all time.
